ASTROME TECH
WHO THEY ARE
Astrome sells to two of the most sceptical audiences in existence: telecom infrastructure buyers and the Indian defence establishment. Both want specifications, field credibility and evidence the company will still exist in five years.
I was the sole MarComm engineer. No design team, no photographer, no studio. Every brochure, stall, standee and video Astrome put in front of a general or a telco buyer came through one desk.
THE BRIEF
Transform outdated collateral into sleek, data-driven material for telecom and defence audiences — including exhibitions attended by high-level generals and the Defence Minister.
WHAT I DID
Led complete redesigns of visuals, brochures and stalls for Indian Mobile Congress and Mobile World Congress. Created product standees for Aero India. With no design team or photographer, improvised believable field visuals, and scripted and edited product videos that ran on event displays and went to investors.
THE THINKING
Lead with the metric
Defence and telecom buyers read numbers first. Auto-alignment, throughput, 20km range, reduced truck rolls — the spec is the hook, not the adjective.
Build the field, honestly
No photographer meant no deployment photography. I built believable field visuals — radios placed into real map and tower contexts — showing the product in use without misrepresenting a live deployment.
Design for a walk-past
IMC and MWC stands compete with hundreds of others. High-contrast black-and-green, one claim per panel, legible from the aisle.
Reuse the asset
Product videos built for event displays were re-cut for investor decks. One production, two audiences, no extra budget.
