UAP FOR INDIA
WHO THEY ARE
Elsewhere this function belongs to governments and space agencies: the US has AARO, other nations have formal reporting channels. India has none. The site exists to fill that gap with something credible rather than sensational.
That makes the design problem unusual. The subject attracts cranks, so the presentation has to work harder than the content to establish seriousness — and the audience has to be found on a budget, in a category advertising platforms actively restrict.
THE BRIEF
Build an informative, credible home for UAP research in the Indian context — a task handled by governments and space agencies elsewhere.
WHAT I DID
Designed the site for clarity and article discovery, structured content around geopolitical context (AARO disclosures, historical sightings, country-level responses), and search-optimised every page. Created custom artwork, infographics and reels that stayed inside Instagram’s restrictions on political content.
THE THINKING
Win the search term, not the argument
The moat is organic. Every page was structured and optimised around the terms a curious Indian reader actually types — which is why it holds rank #1 for “UAP India”.
Anchor to geopolitics
Framing coverage around AARO disclosures, historical sightings and country-level responses moves the subject from folklore to policy.
Design against the stereotype
Clean typography, restrained artwork, infographics over imagery. The look deliberately borrows from journalism, not science fiction.
Advertise inside the rules
Instagram restricts political content. Creative had to be educational in form to be servable at all — a constraint that improved the work.
